Truro enjoys three teams in the premier County division and the club tries to distribute playing strengths equally over these teams in order to create fantastic competition on match nights. This week witnessed the culmination of the policy as TR2 played TR3 for the right to become County league champions 2025.

At 4th string Steve Dickenson (TR2) was too accurate for the fast improving Lucas Lang and took a well deserved 3/0 win. Then at 3rd string Joel Brickell (TR3) played extremely well to edge out Tom Newberry 3/1. A  solid battle followed at 2nd string between Callum Oliver (TR3) and Dan Francis which was physical, skillful and highly entertaining - Callum  Winning 3/1.

After these ties, the title decider actually rested on the final match between the top two players currently in Cornwall - Lewis Vinten (TR3)  and Owen London. Both are super young players with huge futures and played the match under extreme pressure with pride, passion and sporting determination. Owen took the match 3/1 and therein the County team title went to TR2 for the very first time.

A fabulous evening of squash was enjoyed by the players and large crowd alike. A credit to the strength and standing of the Truro club
